Climbing in and Swan Inn

March 31, 2008

With the clocks having gone forward, we were hoping to climb outside after work yesterday, but a combination of a late start, and unpromising weather pushed us once again to the lakeland climbing centre at Kendal.

Having given up on our regular winter after climbing pub of the Anglers Arms at Haverthwaite, and in our quest to find an alternative venue for a post climb pint, we headed for the Swan Inn in Ulverston.

The Swan has a great selection of real ales at sensible prices, hugh tick from us. It also has for background music some happy clappy, Kareoke type songs of the Agadoo and Una Paloma Blanca variety. If that’s your bag, you’ll be happy as a pig at the Swan. It’s not ours though, at least not last night, so our search continues.
