Conishead Priory and Distant Snow

March 25, 2008

Another afternoon walk on Sunday, down to priory point. We could see the Snow covered Coniston range in the distance. I’m always surprised that when covered in snow the lake district fells and mountains look so close to Ulverston. Decided to go for an Easter Monday walk in the Langdale Valley.

Strolled along the beach, with Blackpool Tower clearly visible, then hung right to take a walk up through the grounds of Conishead Priory. Lots of daffodils on view, and also quite a few rabbits.
