My wife Sue and our friend Lesley are taking part in the Swimathon Challenge today – you can find details at http://www.swimathon.org/. Effectively it’s a sponsored 5 kilometre (3 mile) swim. All funds raised go to Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Our climbing buddy Harry Southall died from colon cancer earlier this year. Harry was Lesleys brother in law and an extremely strong climber.
