Old Laundry Theatre seeks budding filmmakers

the-old-laundry-theatreCalling budding filmmakers to submit their short films to be shown on the big screen at the Old Laundry Theatre

The Old Laundry Theatre in Bowness-on-Windermere is looking for budding filmmakers who would like to show their film on the big screen.

For one night only the Theatre turns in to a cinema for a Short Film Evening featuring as many short films (up to 15 minutes each) as possible, with a chance to talk and share the highs (and lows!) of this genre of film making.

New films or old, animations or documentaries, it doesn’t matter. They can have already been shown in festivals or on YouTube, although the Theatre are keen to show some world premieres too! The theme of the film doesn’t matter, as long as it is suitable for general viewing and thoroughly entertaining.

Following on from the success of the inaugural Short Film evening last year, this is a fantastic opportunity for local film makers to show off their creativity and meet other fellow filmmakers.

All filmmakers will of course be able to take VIP seats at the show, sit back and relax and enjoy a glass of wine and a bag of popcorn!

All films should be submitted in a digital format for our panel to view by 28 October. For more information please contact Theatre Manager Fliss Pocock info@oldlaundrytheatre.co.uk or call 08445 040604.

The Short Films Evening is part of The Old Laundry Theatre’s 20th Anniversary Season. It takes place on Saturday 1 December at 7.30pm. Tickets are £8 and include a glass of wine/soft drink and a bag of popcorn.
